Courageous Opportunity

We are grateful for the service of our first board members: Shundrea Trotty, MPA, Sharon Zanders-Ackiss, and Jasmin Howard, LMSW, as well as our faithful former secretary, LaQuita Lucas, and other former members who left in good standing. We also want to send a shout out to our current board members, Courageous Fire, CHW, Latisha Williams, and Sanaa. As we move into our new phase as a national online resource for Black women DV survivors to find safe, effective, and culturally-supportive resources, we are putting out the call for Black women in EVERY state in America to respond! We built this organization from the lived experience of our Founding Executive Director, and we want to continue to do that as we share state-specific resources for Sistahs! So...we need you, Sistahs! If you are a Black woman who survived DV (domestic violence) you can help other Black women in your area find the places you found were - safe, effective, good to you, prompt at getting things done, had good follow up, did NOT retraumatize you while providing services - by sharing that invaluable information with us.
