In October 2026, something extraordinary is about to take place in Chicago.
Our inaugural Courageous Access Black Women's Conference. #CABWC2026
A circle of powerhouse Black women healers — from Washington D.C., Georgia, North Carolina, Iowa, and Panama — will step into one room to create a healing experience rooted in ancestry, culture, and the truths Black women carry every day. These women are not theorists. They are not distant academics. They are in the field, doing the work where Black women face the most intense pressures in the country.
Because of the communities they come from and work in, each healer brings real-world expertise from places where Black women are navigating:
the highest chronic stress loads
maternal health risks that outpace national averages
pay gaps that shape every part of daily life
limited culturally matched mental health care
community displacement and cultural isolation
the exhaustion of constantly being “the strong one”
These healers witness all of this — and they lead Black women through it. Every day. With love, creativity, strategy, and ancestral memory.
That’s what makes this gathering different. This space will be held by Black women who do not need to be convinced that our pain is real. They won’t need charts, data, or justification. They have been working in it, restoring women within it, and developing practices that help Black women breathe again in the middle of it.
Next October, they’re bringing all that wisdom to Chicago…and the impact is going to be massive.
Why This One Day Matters
For Black women, healing isn’t a luxury — it’s essential. And when healing comes from women who understand the cultural, social, and systemic conditions we’re facing, it becomes even more powerful.
This conference is not just “another event.” It is:
culturally grounded
trauma-informed
community-rooted
and centered exclusively on Black women’s needs
The environment will be intentional, restorative, and steeped in the practices our grandmothers and great-grandmothers used to survive, resist, and thrive.
One day. One room. One space created entirely for us.
A Note to Potential Sponsors: Your Investment Creates Real, Immediate Impact

You’re investing in:
Black women healers being paid at full professional rates
